Day 9
So today we are moving from Banff to Lake Louise and we are doing it by car. We really enjoyed the 1 1/2 day we spent there, but now it is time to move on and we are doing by car. We check out,in the car and away we go looking for the Bow Valley park way and just follow it till we reach the Lake.
We achieved this and all is going swell, not many animal to see A deer,grey squirrels and row after row of trees.
One of the funny thing to happen was we were looking for a place called Castle Mountain and suddenly there's the sign , turn left driving real slow ,eyes going left and right,nowhere to be seen,both of us agreed we must have taken the wrong turn so do a Uturn and low and behold there it is, this isn't some small hill this has been standing at 2000 meter forever.The picture to us was still not very good but we decided that omits be the best on offer,so took a capable of snap and set off again, we get to were we turned left and there it was in all it's glory,perfect we'd just couldn't stop laughing, what we were looking for was under our noses.
From there nothing happened and we pomade to the turn off to Lake Louise but we went right but should of got left. This work out to be a gem move as it took us to the summer ski field so we caught the ski lift to the top which takes between 10-15 minutes, then hike around up on top , taking in the spectacular view ,it was absolutely magical.
Back to car we set our sight on our chateau which was about 12ks away again managed this without to much trouble,parked the car, found our way to the foyer and is if from fairy tale Shirley ask a question of this employee who took to a place to check our bags who then introduce us to a man who organised our room, as check in was not till 4.00 and it was now only 2,all this while hundreds of others were standing line waiting and waiting we were now on our way to have a much deserved drink.
This hotel is by far no of the nicest I have ever stay at, the views ,the building it is a dream come true,the tour guide has done it again. You must be asking how did Shirley get through so fast ,she wrote and told her contact here it was her birthday and he told her To sign up to the Presidents club which then entitle express check in and a bottle prosecco for her birthday.
So that day 9 not much really till tea when again we were seated at the best table in the room overlooking Lake Louise just on sunset.
