You look so COLD! But we are still envious as you are now in one of our favourite regions of the world. Glad to see you are still in one piece, but boy, oh boy - we do NOT envy you the trip to Portofino!!! Once you have done it you will know what I mean! Stay cool and calm especially when a bus comes along ... from the opposite direction ...8-{ ... phew!
Blessings and lots of love,
Maria & Donald.

Buongiorno again. Loved your photos - Positano is also still my favourite - and your pictures of Rome also bring back many memories. I think it is time to re-visit!!! I didn't realise it would still be so cold. But nothing like a hot espresso with a dash of grappa to warm you up, heart, body and soul!! Look forward to seeing your photos of Tuscany - you are going to love it there. John, if it is still cold and wet, you are not going to enjoy the roads up in Chianti - take it slow there.
John, Danny is not a happy man - the AC Milan loss of 4-0 was just too embarrassing!!!
Okay my friends, take care and lots of love from all of us.

Hi John and Marina
I have just caught up with you today (March 9th) in Pompei, as we have been away and I just love seeing your photographs. WHAT a journey you are having. It is absolutely wonderful. Meryll may come here for lunch on Sunday and the first thing I will do is show her your traavels. You look as though it is reasonably warm in Pompeii but it is only 5 degrees here in Cumbria, so be warned!
All the very very best, and continue to have fun
Love from
Fran, Pete, Meryll and Archie

Hello Marina and John - what a lovely journey through Italy so far to Positano which I also I loved those many many years when I visited - still have clear pictures in my mind and of Pompeii too.
Things are literally hotting up in anticipation of the Argus - its been in the high 30s and 40s but fortunately cooler weather is forecast. There was a cycle race at Boschendal this past week-end and certain aged people were instructed to ride 10ks less - doctor's instructions to race organisation. So am missing your being here this time - but what a replacement activity you two are having.
As always thank you for the journey and I hope that you continue to travel safely. Love Di

Buongiorno John & Marina. The photos of Taormina are awesome. Pity the weather doesn't look too great - but I am sure you will not let this get in your way. Be safe on your trip to Positano - still my favourite place in Italy - enjoy it and don't forget to eat the "fritto misto"!!! I look forward to your photos and I really hope the weather is better that side.
Lots of love

Hi there our Great Explorers, we are happy to hear that you are still doing great and having a wonderful time. We have been so hectic lately with Patrick sister Sally and Gary Wedding. They were married on Saturday on Melkbosstrand beach it was a beautiful day for a morning wedding and the reception later that evening was fantabulous, they are in Canada for their honeymoon. Last week Thursday we scattered Popmans ashes in False Bay with the asssistance of the Navy, the morning was beautiful and the sea very calm, it was great as it has given us closure, what a great man he was and we miss him so much.
It is month end and hectic am still at work, am leaving shortly so must run need to tie up some loose ends before tomorrow's hectic day. Love from us here in Cape Town and God Bless and continue your journey safely. lots of beijinhos from the O'Shea's xxxxxx

Hi John and Marina, Have just caught up with you in Tripoli - what beautiful old ruins AND the Med. I think that I may have wanted to do a bit more than window shopping in the medina - are you being space conscious and disciplined? Thank you I am still loving your journey.
