Well, here we go again! only 5 days to go untill we set off on our next adventure. I have just re-read our Borneo Blog and it all flooded back like it was yesterday. When we came back from the Borneo experience my old mate Julian Ing commented that we can't have enjoyed ourselves much, as all we had done was write about it!
I would like to defend myself on behalf of all travel bloggers! That trip was the experience of a lifetime, it lasted three weeks but our blog will last a lifetime. Noting down our experiences and then commiting them to the blog in my attempt at an enjoyable writing style was theraputic and fun and what's more, the on line and printed versions become valuable family archives, just like Photo Albums.
Any way....... on this, our second trip of a lifetime we are flying to Accra next Saturday and hoping to see some of Ghana. We have been told that Ghana is a very friendly and "safe" country and as such is a good introduction to travelling in Africa. We are planning to emulate our previous adventure and stay in budget hotels and hostels, where we feel we are able to get a little closer to the true culture of the area. It should be noted that Ghana is on the Greenwich meridian and is in the same time zone as the UK. We are hoping however that as it is nearly on the equator that it may be a little warmer than home!
