On the way out of Wanaka we stopped at Puzzleworld where first me and Jo got trapped in a 3D maze for half an hour then once inside the illusion house the angled room put our vision off a bit as we watched water run up hill and slid up a stairway sliding seat. From Franz Josef we stopped at Lake Matheson to walk around and get the postcard picture of Mount Cook and the Alps reflected as a mirror image off the lake. On down past Haast, up the Haast river, past Lake Wanaka then Lake Hawera made for some impressive scenery.Once in the impressive town on Wanaka on the lake shore we chilled out for a while before takin a quick dip in the refrreshing lake, the jacuzzi in the hostel helped warm us up after.

On the way down the road again towards the glaciers we stopped of at the bushmans centre. Inside we were shown videos of how the wild deer were caught by flying low over them then jumping out and tackling them to the ground, bit more extreme than skydives or bungy jumps. Heading south along the spectacular highway 6 along West coast South Island, stopped off at CapeFoulwind for a walk along the coast where theres a large seal colony and is closest point to Oz.
