Two weeks into our epic adventure we have made it to Ho CHi Minh City, better known as Saigon or as we like to call it, the city of motorbikes. We treked from Cambodia into Vietnam this morning, much to warm for carrying all your stuff tho sweat was blinding me. In Chau Doc now in the middle of the Mekong Delta, just here for the afternoon before heading on to Ho Chi Minh in the morning. In Sihanoukville now, a wee resort beside the sea. Best boat trip ever yesterday, went to a few deserted islands, jumping off the top of the three story boat, snorkelling, bit of volleyball with some local fishermen folk and running about uninhabitated islands which had very large waves, near got the better of me quite a few times. Writing from Phnom Phenh capital of Cambodia, just arrived from Siem Reap. Crosssing the border was pretty straight forward from thailand. Quite different here, bit poorer and very flat, only seen half a dozen hills, but the people are much the same, very friendly and everyone puts their religion and family life before anything else. We made it to Bangkok ok and was glad that the weather was a little cooler. Time to reminis on Kho San road, so after a few Sam son buckets we tried some of the local delicasies...maggots...locusts...and my favourtie, baby frogs fried whole which didnt taste that bad!
