Viva Las Vegas Baby. First impression, well poker (slot) machines in the airport, what can I say. We are staying at the Luxor and after checking in and putting our stuff in our room we headed off for a late lunch, yes to the buffee which was very nice. All non-alcoholic drinks are included too. One thing I have noticed and not just in vegas, is that if you buy a soft drink with your meal there are free refills. Anyway we were off down the strip after lunch and what an amazing place this is, like people have said to me, there is nothing like this anywhere and it is nothing like I will see again. No tours were booked for today so we just went walking and checked out the strip and yes the hotels seem closer than they actually are. We stopped off at the venitan to check out the gondolas and madame tussuads wax museum which was pretty cool, hopefully these won't be the only famous faces we see whilst we are here.......lol We watched the Bellagio water fountain show which was pretty awesome. Day 2 in Vegas had us walking the strip again. You cannot see everything in one day. You could probably walk past everything in one day but you have to visit each hotel. So your walking down the strip and there are guys that flick business cards at you (well at the men) because they are cards for call girls. At first you tend to say no, no, no thanks then you learn to just ignore them and keep walking. We went to the Mirage hotel and went to Sigfriend and Roys secret garden where they have dolpins and tigers. there was an awesome tiger there busy chewing andpulling up the lawn, it was pretty funny to watch, kind of like our dogs out the back doing something naughty like that........lol. There were also tiger cubs and we stayed to watch them being fed. They were so cute at first and then you seen the wild animal in them and they started to growl over the milk and the trays of meat with the keepers trying to keep each of them away from each others and their food. Andrew found a place to get his $2 beers at nearly every second stop you can buy daquaris or margaritas in huge sizes, like 1/2 yard glasses. I am loving my strawberry daquaris and pina coladas, everyone drinks everywhere on the strip. We had a night helicopter night tour of the strip. We had never been ina helicopter bbefore and for those that know me I am not really that fond of flying but I really enjoyed it. The view was amazing and I would recommend it for anyone visiting Vegas. Andrew and I were lucky enough to get the front seats which had the best views. The next day we headed off on a shuttle to the outlet stores about 1 hour from Vegas. We probably spent too much money again but the prices were irresistable. The problem is going to be what to do with all this extra stuff. After the shock of posting the other stuff back when we were in memphis we are now going to get another suitcase and just pay the extra baggage charge which is $25 as opposed to $50 for overweight luggage.
