At last after a long drive we made it here. We only drove 4 hours today so we could check into the apartment early and get unpacked and begin to get settled in. At least one hour of the drive was through the mountains northeast of Phoenix and was very beautiful. Ruth Ann just kept mentioning how beautiful they were, while I was keeping my eyes on the road that was winding through the mountains (especially going downhill and gaining speed).

The apartment was ready and all we needed to do was unload the car and wait for the "Cable Guy". The picture is of the entrance to the apartment complex. The gates are closed at night and you need a keycard to open them. For those that care it is near the intersection of Gilbert and Guadalupe Roads.
