So this is the start of our South American Adventure.
It all started one Autumn morning with an excited Madeleine waking up a sleepy Joe with 'Babe......' A few sleepy grunts and a cup of tea later and Joe was (sort of) ready to listen to whatever mad-cap scheme Mads had come up with this time.

Hi Guys,
So this is the start of our South American Adventure.

Cue lots of babbling from Mads, lots of trying-to-listen-whilst-catching more-zzzzs from Joe. And onto the planning. After dismissing Joe's idea of going to Venezuala 'cos she liked the name (mad-cap president and civil unrest anyone?) and Mads' idea of going to 4 different continents in 2 months (you can see a whole contintent in 2 weeks, right?), South America was decided upon. And Joe still gets to go to Lake Titicaca, 'cos she likes the name.
So here we are, 4 weeks to go and starting to get excited (in between the panicking, exhaustion and PMT). This is the place where you can keep up with where we are and what we are up to. We will endeavour to keep it updated wherever we find an internet connection and we'd love it if you would stay in touch here too.

re: Isla Grande, BrazilMadeleine It would appear that we are just not meant to take buses - a hint that we will be taking seriously once we return to the UK. Alternatively, the buses are just a nightmare in SA - or 'all part of the experience' as the guide books say.

You sound like prisoners trying to escape - first by lorry then walking along some tracks and then into a jeep after giving the driver a secret handshake lol!
