Last day in Vegas today before we head to London. So its washing and diary day! Its a pretty happening city with lots of people and shows all the time. We went to see Robin Wiliams doing a comedy show which was absolutely hilarious and then Nig won tickets to a show called Matasuri. It is kind of like Cirque de Soleil (however you spell that) so Nig wasn't looking forward to it at all - but it was excellent and Nig had a blast. The show was full of energy and tricks and they had cleverly included some satirical humour as well so it was a great free treat. We drove to the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon yesterday. I was expecting the Hoover Dam to be bigger so it was actually a little disappointing but still amazing all the same. Then we were shocked at the drive to the West rim of the Grand Canyon. It had 21miles of atrocious dirt road to cover to get there. So the traffic was going horribly slow and it took forever, but thanks to Nigel's 'Possom wannabe' driving we got there a little faster. Then they make you park your car about 2km from canyon edge and buy a tour to go and see it and of course these are really expensive (so we were a bit ticked off by this stage!) You could try and walk but it was about 42degrees and no shade (I honestly wouldn't have made it). So we begrudgingly paid $30each for the cheapest option which was a bus to one lookout point and back. In the end it was totally worth it though as the canyon itself is absolutely amazing, so deep. And scary to think that if you tripped over while checking it out it would most likely be the end as there are no saftey barrieres or anything (but that is also very good as it still looks very natural and untouched). So I have enjoyed Vegas and developed a slight tan I think but I havn't won a million dollars! Nigel is still trying but I have long given up. Looking forward to London and Europe and catching up with all the other Kiwis in the area.
