Hi peoples.
Gemma and I got back from our Moose Bus tour on Friday. Tour was great but unfortunately all the beautiful lakes (Louise, Peyto, Emerald...) were frozen so wasn't the best time to do that specific tour. They were still beautiful and the rockies are spectacular and it was a good time for seeing wildlife as they are all out grazing on the fresh spring food. Saw four bears in total, 3 grizzlys and 1 black - and have only seen 2 squirrels which is so back-to-front! We spent four days in Banff and went to the hot pools while it was snowing, mmmmmm! We were going to get a gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain but it cost $25 - so we walked 5.8km uphill instead!! Was quite an effort as the track was covered in snow and rather slippery but when we saw the 360degree view of the rockies from the top it was well worth it-and they let us get the gondola down for free- thank goodness!!! The last two days were good but the scenery seemed somewhat boring after driving through the rockies! Got locked out of hostel in Revelstoke at 11.30pm and thought I was gonna have a cold night....key didn't work in the door- fortunately after about 15mins of trying to wake Gemma by yelling at her and throwing stones at her window someone opened the door for me (nope not Gemma, she was still sleeping)!!
Have four more days in Vancouver then head to LA to meet up with Nigel-YAY and Laura is gonna be there too, crazy! Have to say goodbye to Gemma today as she goes back to Whistler for the summer.
Take care out there, Love Jo. xoxo
Hey people, thought I would throw a paragraph in here......been an awesome few weeks with Jo here checking out BC. I'm sure its in Jo's message but we saw lots of BEARS!! We are back in Vancouver now, staying with one of my mates from Whistler. I'm heading back to Whistler this afternoon for the summer, can't wait for some heat!
Hope everyone is all good...stay clear of bears!!!!
love
Gemma
