hi there, sorry its still group emails, im visiting places which have never heard of email, so access to computers is a little limited! but keep writing to me:) where did i get to in my last mail? did i tell you about the boat trip from puerto montt to puerto natales? that was really good fun, three nights on board, last night had a bit of a disco, i drank far too many pisco sours (its a kind of grape brandy mixed with lemon juice, not bad!) stayed one night there, then headed across the border to Argentina, where i met up with alex and her boyfriend, in el calafate. from there, we went to el chalten, apparently the newest town in the country,in patagonia. the day we got there, we went for a short walk, the weather was absolutely lovely, we were walking in tshirts. however, next day, the walk alex and i went on, we were out in the snow!! but i was all wrapped up in my new warm weather stuff, so i was fine:) the following day, it snowed a little, but on our return from a 6 hour walk, the snow was beginning to melt, and it was a bit slushy. so now, im at rio gallegos airport, about to fly to rio grande. (or is that the other way round?) tomorrow well head to ushuaia, the southerly most city in argentina. hope youre all well, Joanna xxx
