hi everyone sorry we havent been in touch yet the internet cafe has not caught on here and this one computer we have found does not have a back to it so we cannot put pictures on the site yet. We are having a great time arrived in miami yesterday but have not really left the room yet as it is so hot. Have walked down to the beach though and it was amazing really blue. New York was amazing we did all the sites we went on a bus tour round downtown and brooklyn and went to the empire state building but picked the only overcast day to go up so didnt really see much. We also went on the staten island ferry which was cool and we saw the statue of liberty so we did a lot in 5 days. Our parents will be pleased to hear we took in some culture as we went to the metropolitan museum of art on Emily orders as she wanted to see the Egyptian section as you can imagine she got very excited. Anyway we are planning to go to the Florida keys tomorrow and the start travelling up towards New Orleans.
ok, so now that jo has told you all the stuff we did, she missed out all the really funny stuff, eg. the narcaleptic indian i had to sit next to on the bus!!Highly amusing, although i have to say i wasnt much better yesterday as i kept falling asleep wherever we went, and according to jo i was snoring in central park and twitching in the airport which made everyone look at me! oh well, i think were only joining a very long list of incredibly weird people who live here, i mean seriously, i go into starbucks and ask for a cup of english tea and they look at me like i've gone insane!!! madness! Everryone will also be disappointed to know that i am not sunburnt yet, sorry, jen, jamie and tash, there are no pics of lobster girl...yet! however jo got a little toasty round the neck area, but as she stresses, she is normal coloured again!
oh and to all our friends but not our parents... we have manged to find alcohol and get very drunk! i woke up with a very bad headache, however i think that can be expected after doing shots of malibu and washing it down with gin...jen you would have been proud my luvver!!! (given that we know you parents will have read this, dont worry we were very sensible at all times and remained excellent ambassadors for our country at all times!)
