This day, I boarded my train to Stockholm and took in some views of the many lakes strewn about the land between Gothenburg and Stockholm. I was staying right downtown near Stockholm Central Station and decided to take a quick walk along Drottninggatan, the main pedestrian street in the area. Like the others I've mentioned, the street was lively and was lined with plenty of shops and cafes.

Unfortunately, it was a rainy day in Gothenburg, but I got to explore a good chunk of the city nonetheless. I started by making my way to the boardwalk and continued down until I crossed a couple canals and entered Haga, a part of the city with lots of old buildings and pedestrian streets. I also visited Skansen Kronan nearby, an old fortress built on top of a hill, from where you can get views of the city (though the view wasn't great this day given the weather...

After a quick stroll through town in the morning, I packed up and headed to Oslo Central Station to board my train to Gothenburg. I took in some of the scenery along Sweden's west coast before arriving in Gothenburg. After arriving, I took a quick walk around before calling it a day.

This day, I ventured over to Akershus Fortress, which is just east of the city centre. This is an old fortress you can walk through and offers some great views of Oslo's harbour. Fortunately, the weather was quite nice. I then made my way to the Nobel Peace Centre nearby. The museum was small, but had some interesting exhibits. While my day was cut short due to some errands, I took some time this day to explore Oslo. I started off by going to the Royal Palace, which isn't very far from the hotel I stayed at. I then made my way down Karl Johan's gate, the pedestrian street that runs through the city centre. There was a lively atmosphere along the street and a large variety of shops and cafes.
