Hello again and so soon. This time I am using my iPhone rather than my mini iPad in the hope that it works better rather than send it to Mars instead of you.
A brief summary of what I wrote three times and at great length to no avail:
Left Sydney represented by the plaque commemorating Joseph Conrad's visit to Australia and his comment about our harbour.
Trip was uneventful no upgrades no interesting personalities to chat with as happened during my last trip four ago. However I watched a beautiful Japanese film titled "Departures" a salutary reminder of the human condition- more about that when and where I finish.
A five hour wait at Heathrow for flight to Paris
Foolish choice for breakfast at Gordon Ramsay's in the airport. Poschedeggscold choice of toast? Brown or white sir? I'll have Turkish thank you. No sir, brown or white? Brown thank you. Overcooked. I irritably suggested to some staff ,next time Gordon visits suggest he spend
more time expanding his variety and quality of produce rather than time expanding his vulgar language.!
Then off to Paris where this photo was taken. What a city. What a rainbow of nationalities and polyglot population. But more of that in my next blog which I will call a view from a Paris Cafe
Jim
Ps it seems my desperation blog got through.

virginia walker Jim You are such a treasure = look after yourself on this walk and come back safely to your friends and supporters. from MRMOPS (MY OLD NAME) I CANNOT WORK OUT WHAT THE NEW NAME MEANS.
virginia walker It is so long since I was n Paris I do not know if I could find my way around - I was last there in 1963 after my holiday with the Club Mediteranee in Croatia and Venice. But I did visit in 19i55 with my grandmother and our Australian guide who was a friend do my grandmother and sister of Christina McPherson who played the piano for Banjo Paterson (my great-uncle who wrote Waltzing Matilda after hearing Christina playing the old tune on her piano when he was staying at her house - before he married my grandfather's sister - Great Aunt Alice Walker)...
virginia walker Oh my goodness - I made a typo - Miss McPherson was a friend of my grandmother.
Trish G. Getting the hang of it bro! Can't wait for the next epistle.
