Hello Everyone,
Sorry for the delay updating my blog. I have been having a great time!! I left Bangkok and travelled to a place called Phuket in southern thailand on a big bus and it took 17hrs but it was a good laugh. I met some french lads and a girl from uk, but they were going to different places than me.
I stayed in a bungalow on Patong Beach, it was very nice there! I was on my own the first night, then met a lad from denmark, so we shared a room to save money. Patong was a very nice place and had a great beach but was very touristy with many bars and clubs which was good but there was loads of lady boyz! ha ha
I spent a few days in Patong but started getting bored so left to go to a island called Koh Phi Phi, it was amazing 2hr boat journey and i got talking to a french lad and a couple from england.
We all got on really well so we decided to stay together and find some accomodation. The first night we slept above a thai boxing stadium and got friendly with the fighters and was introduced to the owner of the stadium by 2 english girls who were on holiday. One of them used to work at the thai boxing stadium. The owner of the stadium 'Jeb' took us out on his speed boat free of charge for the day around all the islands and becahed nearby, monkey island-(this is where monkeys live, you have to be very careful cus they can attack you and rob personal persessions), long beach, maya beach- (where the film 'the beach' was filmed). He even took us to a beach he had bought and showed us where he used to live before the tsunami struck which was very upsetting. We got blessed by monks and crashed a wedding, and wished the english couple all the best even though we didn't even know them!! ha ha We went snorkling in the sea, you would not believe how clear the water is. Watched the sunset, it was the best day of my trip if to now.
For the next 3 nights we spent in Phi Phi we found some beach bungalows literally right next to the sea. I shared with the french lad and we had a spectacular view of the sea, with a nice bar and restaurant.
We went out for some nice meals, around the bars. Swimming in the sea, sun bathing!! Went for a walk up the hills to the view points, they were fantastic. You can see the whole island and right out into the sea to some of the other islands and watched another great sunset.
Phi Phi is the most beautiful place i have ever seen in my life, i cannot explain how nice it is!! It is a paradise island!! The water is crystal clear, the locals are extremely friendly. It Is a very small island, i only saw a few cars, everyone has push bikes. There are a few bars and clubs, shops etc..
I am now on a island called Koh Lanta, I arrived yesterday. It is futhur south and took 1 hr on the boat. It is not as nice as Phi Phi but it is more layed back and we have a room right next to the sea. It is quite a big island, but there isn't alot to see!! We are all still 2gether, me the french lad and the couple from england and we met 3 other english lads so there is 7 of us now!! I am staying here another 2 nights and making my own way to Ko Samui which is a bit more lively and then to Ko Pang Yang. The others are going there seperate ways.
I have not uploaded my pics yet cus the connection speed over here is very slow abnd will take along time. As soon as i find a good connection i will upload them.
Hope you are all well
Jimmy
