Hello all, As you all know i am back in the UK, it felt extremely weird at first but i am kind of getting used to it. After being all around the world, i have learnt so much about myself and the rest of the world and it has defo changed my perspective on life and what opportunities are available to me. It has been great to see my friends and work colleagues and i don't start back at work until the 1st August, got alot to sort out so I am very busy.Right there is alot of canada that i have not told u about so hear goes!!
After my last bog entry i wrote in toronto i went on a day tour to Niagra falls, it was an amazing experience. I went on the maid of the mist boat ride which took me right up to where the water was splashing down. 2 be honest i thought they would of ben bigger but it's the sheer amount of water and site of the falls that makes it so amazing!! 1 million bath tubes a second fall over them, incredible!!
My next tour was a 7 night tour with the same company i did the niagra falls day trip with Moose Travel. Our first stop was Montreal in the state of Quebec which was of course very french, being a french province!! ha ha I really like it here there was a nice atmosphere about the place but unfortunately i only stayed here one night. I would really like to go back and see more of the city and a intetresting fact it's the sex capital of canada!! So if u don't pull here u have got problems!! ha ha Next stop was a place called Mont Tremblant which was out in the sticks, nice and quiet where we stayed one night doing canoeing! Next stop was Ottwa which as u all know is the capital of Canada. The hostel we stayed in was great fun, it was a x jail and they had turned all the cells into bedrooms and not altered anything!! we only stayed 1 night and that was enough to be honest, found the city quite boring. Went on a tour of the parliament buildings nothing to exciting. Then we went to Fort Coulonge which was a really nice chilled place right on a river which had great sunsets, nice music. We stayed here for 2 nights and went white water rafting down the Ottawa river. I've wanted to did it for years and finally got my chance and had a great day flying down river rapids. Next stop was Madawaska which was great fun, the hostel we stayed in was a big house so there was a nice warm atmosphere. We went swimming in the river, kayaking to a magnificient water fall and had a nice camp fire. We only stayed here for 1 night bafore heading back to toronto. I must tell u about how bad the roads were in canada, it was like being on a go kart going over a building site. The temp drops to -60 in the winter and is nice and warm in the summer so it causes the roads surfaces to crack!!
I stayed for a few night in Toronto and tried to contact Quantas to change the destination of my flight from JfK to Toronto cus i was cutting a month of my travels. Originally i was going to spend 6 weeks in canada and make my way over to new york and spend a few days there. Unfortunately i found out that Quantas don't fly from toronto so i had to get a night bus to new york and then a bus straight to the airport and ask them to put me on the next available flight home which was at 6 oclock that day. Quatas were a nightmare, i rang them for days before finding out about them not flying fom toronto but no1 would answer and when i tried to change it on line i didn't have the facility cus i had booked a all around the world ticket with STA travel. That was a crazy experience for me. By the time i had got back home i had not slept for 2 days cus i didn't have a wink of sleep on the flight home and had no rest in the airport before my flight.
It's nice to be back in the UK, alot of people ask me which was my favourite place. Well it's hard to say cus i've been to so many amazing places but the states would have to be up there!!
See you all soon Jimmy
