Today everyone that was in my room must have had ants in their pants.... I was woken up at 4am to the sound of people packing up and getting ready to leave, I almost jumped out of bed myself thinking it must have been around 6 or 6.30 because of the number of people awake.... So after 2 consecutive days of 20km I decided today would be a short day. I still woke at 6.30am even though I was in a hotel room on my own, but did enjoy a long shower to start my day, and was still out on the street at 7.30am. On my way to find the elusive Spanish ATM's I stumbled across people setting up for a marathon which was running in the town today, there were huge adidas signed up everywhere and it looked like they were hosting the finish line, go team...

So after being out late last night dancing and having fun at the festival I was one of the last people to get out of bed and on the road today... I still got to enjoy the rising of the sun but only just, leaving town at 7.30am. I have a new appreciation for that time of day and enjoy walking as the sun comes up over the hills, the colours reflected in the fields are just breathtaking and I only hope my photos are doing it some sort of justice. I have made friends...

Today started at 6.30am with a nice breakfast by the hosts of the albergue it was simple but satisfying. Plenty of bread and cold meats and cheese for everyone as well as yoghurt and fruit.... And most importantly coffee. After breakfast and still before the sun came up I was off on the track, I had planned to do 20km today which should mean I get to Tores del Rio around lunchtime.
