Today I met my good friend Pierre (the owner of a hostel I stayed in). We went to circular quay (by the opera house) for lunch which he treated me to which was very nice. When we sat down he handed me a bag and said here's your New Years present inside was a jewellery box with a beautiful gold necklace inside. I was stunned. I wasn't even expecting a present and to receive this was incredible. After a lovely lunch we walked around the city listening to some lovely live bands before heading to the 3 wise monkeys which is a pub on George street, because it was the Chinese New Year parade which I wanted to see but the roads where packed. So we got some drinks and food and had an amazing view from the 3rd floor window looking straight onto the street. Perfect. So I set my ipad up clicked record and then just enjoyed the 2 hour parade :) happy year of the horse everyone :)
