I chose the beautiful mounitan picture, because well, it is a lot prettier then where I am at. Naples Italy, AKA a piece of s***. I am going to steal Evann's description of it, as "This would be like someone visiting California and visiting Compton" I know that statement is going to make my Dad feel grrrrreeeaaat, but seriously? I will NOT under ANY circumstance be leaving the hotel with out Maryann or Evann OR after dark. The "lets go Europe 2006| said that violent crime is rare, but theft is commen, AND listed out a place for women to go where they can find safe hotels, AND the REALLY hot guy in our compartment today actually cringed and shook his head when we told him where we were going, AND when we got off the train he made a point to tell all of us to take off any jewelry (necklaces, bracelts, rings) we might have had on. Yup, I am here! Evanns Motherland city! THANKFULLY we are staying at a 3.5 star hotel and it is literally right across the street from the train station, so we are using it as a jump off point for day trips to Capri and Pompeii (city under ashes). I will be fare to Naples, we have not been down to the beachy areas yet, they mayt be better. But never in my life have I emptied out my purse of passport and credit card just to go to dinner. :) I am staying at a really cool hostel in Florence, I cant wait to see it! Although, I now have to go back to the hotel to get my credit card and "lets go" book... DOH! After I posted yesterday, we went to the Patheon which was absolutly amazing, and wandered around to the Jewish Ghetto (Ghetto means something different in Italian, it wasnt like Naples) and ate at this awesome resturatnt where I got some yummy potatoes and veggi's. I am so thirsty right now, I think I am going to head out and then come back and try to book the rest of my trip! :) weeeeee!
