Hola from Salta and what a cool little city this is (well 500,000 people little)
We roll into Salta after about 13 hours on a bus it's about 10pm and I head to my hostel.. The name has escaped me.. Hostel Salta.. Or something but they were great. They paid for my taxi as I had no Argentinean pesos yet, exchanged some money for me as it was late and I didn't want to walk to town and I had a room to myself with a double bed and a TV... score!!
I checked in at home on viber, and then watched some TV before heading off to sleep. In the morning I woke up, had breakky, you know the usual routine and then headed into the city for a look around. I saw the pink church.. Yes it is pink, the main square and wandered around the different streets. It reminded me more of Europe then the other sth American cities I have seen.. If it wasn't for the dodgy power lines I would have thought I was in Europe...
I had some lunch and slowly headed back to the hostel as I was catching an afternoon bus to Iguassu...
My first impressions of Argentina were great... icy cold drinks, good food and hospitable people.. I was looking forward to getting to Iguassu though and seeing the waterfall.. Very much so.. Was shattered my bus in Bolivia delayed me a day as I would have really liked to spend a bit more time in Salta.. Looks like it has a few cool things to offer.
Anyway taxi comes and I'm off to the bus stop.. The next 26 hours will consist of me sitting on a bus to Iguassu.. One side of Argentina to the other... bring it on.
