We went to coiba today and it wa stunning! It was about an hour boat ride from Santa Catalina. There is one main island that has the protected rainforest and old prison on it which is the national park, around it many very small islands with the underwater national park. We snorkelled in 4 different spots and saw sharks, turtles, sting rays, eels, and tons of different fish. There were baby jelly fish all through the water that gave you a good little zap every time you hit one, they were to small to see and avoid though. The beaches were beautiful. Turquoise water, white sand and palm trees! The rainforest on the main island was beautiful to, we hiked to the lookout and had an amazing view of the island and surrounding islands. We heard the howler monkeys but didn't see any, there were also whale sharks spotted but they are so rare we didn't get to see them. There's also one beach we can't swim because A huuuuuge croc lives there, yikes. By the time we went home 8 hours later we were burnt to a crisp despite our 60 SPF sunscreen!
