Not lost yet.
But a few last words from my fast depleting time in Santiago.
The Hiliday Inn at the airport here is great for sleeping. For 8 hours I didn't hear a thing - and I never sleep for 8 hours in one go (mainly because Knox's primary mission is to prevent that) and with no need to hurry out I successfully snuggled in my huge bed for a while.
Then it was up and at the world. A few last pics to keep you amused....
Not so funny, the view from my window.
Me packed and ready to go and yes, wearing the same clothes as my first selfie transiting in Auckland, but all washed by the Hotel Bonaparte, and no problem doing up the pants and belt which was a relief after all the yummy meals that have been put in front of me (the scales at home might be another matter...).
Departure hall at Santiago airport - however the Qantas business queue was very friendly.
Then into the immigration queue which was mercifully short with no candidates for today's best looker to keep me amused. However after tripping over a metal strip and nearly having a very entry to the queue area I had to use some subtle space defining strategies with a young Chinese girl who first of all tried to push in !!! And then kept bumping me from behind - so I became an expert at moving slowly but I am not sure whether she got the message or not!
The antibacterial copper seemed to be doing the job and I got through the processing very quickly.
American Airlies lounge. No problem here logging my camera in so the photos are now in the other entry.
Am now heading out to spend my last Chilean pesos and then back for a bubbly before boarding.
Hasta la vista.
