Wednesday 8th July After a night spend on the side of the road in near gale conditions we woke up to see the road getting increasingly busy with people trying to find a park to watch the tour. 7th July 2009, Yesterday we had a fun afternoon set up beside the road for the tour de France. It was quite hot but luckily we were on a rise so had a reasonable breeze to cool us down. Sunday 28th June Today we packed up and left Rome, we didn't stay long enough to see everything, but enough to get our fill of old Roman ruins and the newer Roman architecture etc. We headed north on a smaller road towards Siena.
