Thursday6th August The last few days we have been happily wandering around the countryside and enjoying the mountain scenery. We haven't done much in the way of touristy things but it has been very nice just enjoying the views and finding some quieter places to stop away from the hubbub of the peak holiday crowds.We have gone for some walks, did a lot of reading and had a paddle in a river, so not much really to report.

Monday 27th July - 1st August 2009 Somewhere in France:well actually South-west France - Challes-Les-Eaux We arrived in Montreaux just after lunch and again our gps wasn't quite right as it sent us up a back street behind the Police station. Saturday 11th July. [Ewout is writing this blog]. We found a spot to park two night ago after winding up a narrow road through small villages and parked on the uptrack of the hill. We were lucky and parked next to Peter and Wendy a couple from England.
