Another quicky today, I could have put it in with the last entry but I wanted to have a stamp on the book for each place if possible :) or as long as I cam be bothered to do seperate ones from each place :p
River valley's the name and a deserted house in the middle of nowhere is the game! Apparently kiwi experience bring us here to raft in rapids and frolic in the hot tub and get pissed at the bar... Fair play, I'm up for that :p or I would have been had it not been ridiculously cold that day! The place itself was pretty and quaint, with a little rope swing and a pully to get from one side of the river from the other. And there was a hot tub, but you had to pay for it... Didn't have to pay for heated swimming pool in rotorura now did we! What's up with that eh?! The best thing about this place was probably the massive living room esque bar area with the humungous fireplace and numurous cats swanning Around; the worst, outside toilets in little wooden shacks and outside COLD showers in one big communial shack. No no, not for me, thankyou anyway, b***** off now I want some hot water please, thank you darling. Oh and the beds! The beds in this place were ingenious to say the least, or should I say beD lol there were two rooms both ajoining with no seperation at the ceiling, just a wall going part the way up and in each section there was one bunk bed. The bottom bed went across the entire room and the top joined it. Our lovely present was getting to pay $3 for a 'duvet' and spooning each other in a big row of bodies to stave off frost bite during the night? It could of been messy, and it could gave been awkward in the morning, but actually it was quite cosy :) and yes jade you do stick your bum out when you sleep, thanks for the warning :p
The evening itself was fairly quiet, played a few card games, spent over 45 minutes trying to cook bangers and mash on ridiculous small electric hot plates, had the biggest most expensive and sickly and creamy and lovely hot chocolate you could ever wish for...the usual :p in the morning jade, ele and gareth (again deciding to join at the last minute) went rafting whilst we all chatted over a few hundred cups of tea and grumpy stupid twatting pete recovered in his PRIVATE room after spending the entire evening last night propping up the bar and glaring at us. So basically the start of a good day!
