Helllooo N Y C!! Well this visit is a little different to the other…its literally a pit stop before my tour begins.

Why doesn't anyone clap anymore when the pilot lands the plane? Yeh I know its his job but I remember when people used to clap….ahhh those where the days hey.

Anyways…..so I finally landed but then it had to be a Friday afternoon didn't it…traffic was horrendous…I mean it think Queens Drive on a Friday but 5 lanes each way…and whats mental here is that, everyone beeps…but like just for a laugh? and people cut someone up and then kick off on them…If I lived in NYC no way would I drive!!!

As soon as I got to my hotel, I couldn't wait to lash my bags and get out there, but nearly 30 mins to check in an then a mix up….nightmare but hey it got a free room upgrade to a suite, shame it was 1 night and I wasn't in there much but it was a nice touch.

Walked the legs off myself….but the time difference is a cow isn't it? WOW forget how much it affects you, I was ready for bed at 6pm (btw I am 5 hours behind here)…but I had people to see, well not actual people I know but stuff to see and do, so camera and map in hand…off I trotted.

Ive been NYC before so didn't have to do it ALL but I had a list (whats new hey) of things to see and do….and seen it was nearly 5pm when I got into my room, it was like a rase against time, remember challenge anika with anika rice? it was like that only I didn't have a fetching blue jumpsuit, jeep or headset….but you get the point.

I went down 5th Av, Times Sq and did Top of the Rock…but when it was dark…and WOW, the pics don't even do it justice, it was absolutely amazing….but so so busy!!

Tell ya what though…biggest disappointed - I sprinted, well fast walked, down 5th Avenue…blocks and mils away from my hotel to get to FAO Swartz and jump on the big piano…from BIG and guess what? its not bloody there!!! Serious sad face, its gone out of business…but what I wanna know is WHERE is that big piano? Not exactly sat off in someones living room is it.

Met a few people from my tour today, they seem nice….I feel like Brendan off Coach Trip, although I duno why cos I am not the tour guice, you seen it? Hilarious

Got into bed at 11pm (4am UK time) and Id been awake for 24 hrs…tired was an understatement…..but oh no my body decided to wake up a lot and then at 5am I eventually gave up and got up…and yes you guessed it, went the gym, standard…but was fab and I felt so much better after it.

Anyways NYC it was short but sweet but hey, thats all I got this time….I am sure one day I will be back to see you….but I need to say HEY to Philly on the way to Washington
