Yesterday I was standing looking at this view!! Absolutely incredible - all feels a bit surreal now.  Amazing 4 days - full on walking but fantastic group, lots of really good food and beautiful scenery - what more could you want?!!Rain on 1st day - but lucky from then on. 17 in group plus 3 guides and 20 porters! They are awesome - carrying all equipment and making it look easy! Visited several ruins en route - all pretty cool but nothing compared to Machu ...

Anyone visiting peru - don´t use Ormeño buses!! I thought a 4 hour wait in nazca was bad, to find that this mornings bus was initially delayed by 1 hour, then 2 and then cancelled! SO, back in arequipa for a further day waiting for the 8.30pm overnight bus- oh what fun!!  But managed to visit ´Juanita the frozen maiden´- a 500 year old sacrificed inca girl who has been preserved in the ice of the mountains, discovered in 1995 - incre...

Nightmare bus journey - leaving at 2.30 am rather than 10.30pm! But arrived safe and sound - Arequipa lovely city and found nice hostel.  Off on 3 day trek tomorrow to Colca Canyon - good to be out and about again xx
