After sleeping for 12 hours we began to feel a little better but we are still struggling a bit especially as our tour includes meals. Our tummy troubles were helped by our guide getting us old Chinese remedy. We have never had so much Chinese in our lives. Still suppose it goes with the country, although at the moment we would give anything for cheese on toast. They seem to be offended if you don't eat. Never thought we would be disappointed at the size of the portions.
We are just about "Ming and Tanged out at the moment. We have been to Tianamen Square, the Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Great Wall and Ming Tombs. On the cultural side we have been to Kung Fu Show and Beijing Opera. In the words of Julia Roberts we nearly "Peed our Pants" but for all the wrong reasons! Beijing Zoo and Rickshaw ride to come tomorrow, poor driver.
We are very impressed with Bejing, it is very clean and the city appears to be ready for the Olympics. The Olympic torch arrived today. However, rumour has it that the stadium and surrounds have a long way to go.
Photos to follow, downloading difficult as all in Chinese and we haven't quite mastered the language yet.
How about some messages so we know you are reading this site.

PS: Ray has new name - our guide calls him "Big Happy Budha." Strange thought the smiling was just wind!!
