less than 2 weeks in and we've seen so much, india is awesome, just got back from the desert today. we rode out on camels last night and drank and danced under the stars and watched the sun set and rise over the dunes. We're staying in Jaisalmer - which is basically a giant sandcastle in the desert and we're getting another early bus tommorrow. The buses are nuts, they're like a tardis, at the end of the journey there is a never ending line of indians streaming out for half an hour, all of whom insist on staring, pointing and laughing at me! There are even more on the roof, along with our bags which occasionally fall off onto the road (the bags not the people), but its entertainment to watch the conductor, run half a mile to pick it up, dodging cows along the way - rather than just reverse! The culture shock of delhi seems so long ago now, since travelling through the villages of rajasthan, the people are getting friendlier and the currys spicier, and instead of rats in our room - we now have lizzards which is a significant improvement! we have taken sooo many photos but have yet to upload any - i will keep you updated about that. well - i could say so much more but its so hot i am gonna have to peel myself off of the seat and i have to go collect some trousers that are being made for me for 150 rupees (less than 2 quid!), but i will try to write again soon.
