Noosa part two.....
Whilst we think of it we've had a brainwave, me and Bridgey are going to open up a healthfood shop come cafe selling yummy, yummy, good for you food using recipes that we're collecting along the way, we think it will be a great venture so if anyone fancies coming in on it..... (there's a chai latte in it for you).
Back to Brisbane, now we've done our sales pitch (which i think we need to work on). On the way to Brisbane we had a brief stop off at Surfers Paradise which we had to leave in a hurry as we were compelled to shop. Surfers is okay, abit built up but hey it's just like a city. In Brisbane we caught up with Dan (A friend we made in South Africa), he was really good and put us up in his houseboat for a couple of days. Whilst we were there we got to see the true highlights of Brisbane- the Rocklea market which sells all things tacky and the artifical beach (complete with it's very own lifeguards which cracked us up). We lived the highlife for a while drinking Stoneys ginger wine and beers on the deck of Dans boat whilst watching the sunset over Brisbanes infamous river. The river itself is a hive of activity with the City Cats acting as water taxi's. We donned helmets for the second time in our trip (although have been numerous other occassions when one might have been useful) and took to the streets of Brisbane on a bike, it was great fun being big kids although we did get some funny looks, maybe it was because we were cycling around in mini skirts and high heels (only joking dad we're not blonde bimbos). In fact we're changed women Jo even likes dogs now!
After waving goodbye to Dan and Chris in Brisbane we headed to Steve Irwins Zoo (we're not usually fans of Zoo's but this one was more of a conservation project in a sense and taught people about animal protection) which was great fun, the Crocodile Hunter has done a good job. We're now in Noosa Heads which we reckon would be lovely in fine weather, it's quite posh but with loads of people surfing. We caught up with a few friends last night which was nice, well until we got told off by the ranger this morning, camping is pretty much a no go around here.
We're off to Fraser island on thursday which we're looking forward to.
So until then, take care and big happy birthdays to:
Nan- Happy birthday nanny, we love and miss you lots. Hope you like the present.xxx
