Around the World Forever
I took the ferry over to Isla Mujeres to explore the island and go to the beach. This place is a lot more laid back and relaxed than the beaches in Cancun´s hotel district, although, spring break is starting to wind down here. I spent the day walking around town, trying to order food in spanish, and then hanging out at the beach with some folks from the hostel.
Later in the evening, back at the hostel in Cancun, some new people were checking in. Mick and Aaron from Australia, Rebecca from Germany, and Cheryl from South Africa. Anyone notice a lack of Americans in these updates ... c´mon people, are you really having that much fun at work? Quit! Throw your stuff in a backpack, buy a plane ticket.
Mick and Aaron have been traveling/working for the last two years. They spent the winter at Mt Snow in Vermont working the ski lifts and then a month in Fort Lauderdale working for "cash in hand" (under the table). Tomorrow, I leave Cancun and travel on my own to Tulum. I´m meeting up with Mick, Aaron and Cheryl at the ruins of Tulum on Sunday. Unless I get sidetracked, my route will take me from Tulum to Chetumal, where I´ll cross the border into Belize.
