Around the World Forever
I am in my 4th and final week of Spanish school and I´m looking forward to traveling around aimlessly armed with my new language skills... which actually suck but I like to think I learned something in 4 weeks. The weather has changed significantly here in the western highlands. I am told they only have two seasons here: summer and winter and winter just started a few days ago. Winter means it´s the rainy season and they aren´t kidding. It rains every afternoon now and the temperature is noticeably cooler in the afternoon and evening. Once I get to a lower elevation again, I can expect nice warm temperatures broken up by an afternoon rain. I am trying to figure out where to go next. There are a few more destinations in Guatemala I want to check out. In addition, I need to seek out a reputable clinic in a few weeks in a larger city to get my final shots for Hepatitis A & B. So I may loop around to the north of Xela for a week or so and then come back to get my shots here. After that, I have no idea ... perhaps El Salvador or I´ll head east into Honduras. Does it really matter???
