Right that's it, I will not see you on your return Jenny until you loose some of that suntan... You're more likely to get frostbite here at the mo with all this snow. Still laughing at the fact that the dustmen left behind a straw hat on my snowman ;)
Loving the last lot of photos, in particular the road sign. Snorkling sounded amazing and good to hear that the New Year's resolution didn't last long (like it ever would, what were you thinking) Can't wait until the next installment. Enjoy your roadtrip.

Just been catching up on the photos and your blog. Lovely to see all the rels at Christmas time. Also great photos in FNQ (Far North Queensland). It brought back happy memories. I have similar photos of the train at Kuranda.
Keep enjoying yourselves. I'm really loving the updates of your wonderful trip.
Lots of love,

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
It's weird to think that you celebrated the occasion hours before us. Hope Christmas down under was fun, shrimps on the barbie rather than turkey in the oven?!!!
The festive season has flown by here. My youngest nephew got a drum kit for Christmas, you can imagine what Christmas day was like, we were all wondering whether it was too late to ask Santa for earplugs. My brother made it down, lots of walks with the dogs to burn off all the excess we had eaten. Went to the panto 'Wok & Roll Aladdin'!!! It was great to see Kirsten before she flew back to Madrid to be with Dani for the New Year. All in all, busy busy week, only wish I had another week off before heading back to work...
Looking forward to hearing all about Melbourne and Sydney. Keep on enjoying the festivities and here's to a great 2010 of more travels ;)

You must have seen ALL of the Australian wildlife now, totally loving Kangaroo Island. Hopefully no scarey spiders have made an appearance!
So, are you feeling festive yet or is the bright sunshine completely screwing with your head! I hope santa knows where to find you this year... I'm working all the way up to Chrsitmas but having plenty of fun in the lead up to it. Suffolks had the most snow its seen in 18 years, we have 12cm and up to 35cm where there have been snow drifts, there was even a thunderstorm at the same time that it snowed - thundersnow!!!
As you can imagine I have been having great fun, there has been snowmen building and the folks have also inherited an igloo in the front garden (What can I say... I was looking after my nephews, well that's my excuse and I'm stick with it!) Was great fun getting to work today as well, after over an hour digging the car out followed by dad pushing me down the road! Seriously, there is LOTS of snow.
Hope you're both having fun in Melbourne, as ever loving the blog. X
Jenny
Thanks Chris for pointing this out. The website's mistake has now been rectified. We've done quite well to get this far without making such an error!

Who moved Kangaroo Island?
Kate
It has indeed snowed. But because everyone hadn't forgotten what happened last time, there are very few people now here. No snow days for us sadly. Although I did wear my wellies into work in a very fetching way.
