lisa Never mind a fleece, I can guarantee your heating will be on full whack when you get home. We were dithering when we got home from Egypt; house was like an igloo, and that was only after a week! Although from what you've said, the glow off your sunburn should keep you warm! ;)
Hi Lisa from Jean Hi Lisa. I think Ian has been looking after the heating in the house so think it will be ok. We're due home round lunch time so not too bad if it's cold then. It's worse when you come home in the middle of the night. You just can't get warm. Either way, don't think I'll need a fan on!!
Lisa Good luck on the tent/ weather front!
re: Here we are again - Headed for Scotland this time! Camping!RITA The cocktails at home will I am sure be a disappointment. Weather forecast here - top temperature 12 degrees. Warming up they for the weekend they say.xx

re: 28th February to 3rd March PhuketTo mike from mum Hi Mike. I can just picture the scene. Bet you nearly spilt your Chang!! Not sure if it would be the Sunami village. There wasn't a sign or anything but there was a building, bit like a multi storey car park that was signed as the place to go if there was one.

re: 24th - 27th February Phi Phi IslandMike Hi Mum, I particularly remember the Thai boxing bar. We used to love it there, except for once when we looked round and Louis was playing with a real gun - apparently from an off duty cop, but who would know! And what kind of cops hand their guns over to 5 year olds to point around? Also the owner tried to convince Louis to fight his grand daughter. Louis was all up for it til she started bashing hell out of him - she was about 2 or 3! Louis was terrified of her (so were we a bit). We did a walk up the hill to the Tsunami village - when you said you had been up hill and down dale I wondered if that's where you had been. We didnt take enough water and felt like we were going to die! We managed to bum a lift off a man in a bashed up truck and then a boat ride back to home.
re: 24th - 27th February Phi Phi Islandsue Oow eck, nudity, seldom pretty and not bits u want to burn either! Rather that than "reptiles" though!
re: 24th - 27th February Phi Phi IslandRITA I wonder where you enjoyed the most. Are you already planning another trip. Next time you may travel so light the packing cubes will not be needed. Just a rucksack and your flip flops. Seems like it has all been a really enjoyable adventure. I am glad you have enjoyed it and maybe a few more swims in the sunshine before it is time to leave for home. See you soon. Safe journey xx
re: 24th - 27th February Phi Phi IslandDuncan Hi Jean and Sam. Great to keep up with your travels. If you get to the South end of Phuket Island, there is a hotel on the SE corner called Cape Panwa. It has the best Thai Restaurant we ever visited right on the beach, colonial style with silver service. Also, the Yacht Club is worth a visit for lunch at Cape Prom Threp about 10 km East of Cape Panwa. Have a great time. Duncan & Claude
re: 24th - 27th February Phi Phi IslandLinda + Ken from Jean haha Linda and Ken. Can't remember ever swimming at Formby to be honest. Maybe if I have a few extra cocktails I won't feel the vampire swimming sandflies! We've done quite well not getting bitten I think. We've had a few but not too bad and we've been on the beach in the evening a fair bi. Mind you Sam is using 100% deet!! I was at the start but came out in a rash. Don't know if it wad the paintstripper oh sorry, deet but I stopped using it and use the citronella now.
re: 21st - 23rd February Koh LantaHi Rita from Jean hi rita. No Wr didn't do James Bond Island. I was thinking that was the one where you got stuck in the cave so thought I'd better give it a miss.
re: 21st - 23rd February Koh LantaLisa Hi, just caught up on last 5 installments of the blog. Unfortunately, left my glasses in work today, so just about made it! Sounds like you've had a ball; looking forward to seeing some photos. See you soon, Lisa x
re: 21st - 23rd February Koh Lantarita Yes it seems you are trying a wide range of different places with different standards and prices which helps when you are choosing your next holiday. Luxury or basic no doubt a lot to be said for both. You seem to you have got the mix right. You have covered nearly all the places known to most people so you have both done well. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall when you had the occasional hiccup ha ha...........did you do James Bond island? The weather here will take a little while before you can go off in your tent. However Annette and Colin were away in their Dandy at the weekend. Unfortunately snow stopped play. But they are already planning their next trip. So maybe a Dandy could be the answer to you extending your camping season. There are lots of snowdrops so lovely and delicate which are certainly a good sign of spring. Well it's almost 8am and I am late again. Enjoy your last week it will fly. This has popped up. Typed it this morning and it disappeared so sending now. Xxx fingers crossed xx
