Thursday 10th March Beautiful today - roasting in fact Drove to Tauranga and had some lunch in Wharf Street and had a walk along the strand. Louis playing water polo match tonight. In fact he's just found out he's playing two matches, one after the other. He's not best pleased about that. Tired after our trip I think! It ended up that he played really well. They didn't win but put up a brave fight. He's only been playing for a few weeks so is still learning...

Monday 1st March - Wednesday 9th March Looking like rain this morning Sam had to collect his hearing aid which we left for repair before we went to South Island so we walked through the reserve to the plaza. A really nice walk through grassland, shrubs and waterways. Sam was supposed to play golf this afternoon with Graham, my cousin but as it started throwing it down they put it off to another day. Saturday 20th February - Sunday 28th February Saturday 20th February Beautiful morning waking up by the lake. Breakfast outside then off to do a walk from site. About 1.5 hrs (mostly uphill) with notice boards along the way telling you about the lives of the gold miners and how things changed as time went on from basically using a dish, to using gunpowder and mechanical machinery. Their lives and work were extremely hard. I bet there weren't any fat people...
