Adventures of Bowen & Smith
Hey everyone,
Marcus and I had an amazing night out and there was no alcohol involved this time so all you mums worrying about us will now know we are not going overboard :)
We went out for dinner at a gorgeous restaurant as it was only going to cost us like max $20 for a great meal with entrees main and some great mocktails :) it was gorgeous but unfortunately we didn't have our camera that night to show you some photos :( we then did some major dvd shopping and got heaps for pretty much nothing and Marcus. I wish I could go home now and just be a fatty and watch them all. :) Marcus thinks I am crazy for thinking that while we are on this amazing trip :)
We were on our way back to our resort after the dvd shopping when we go talked in to seeing a cabaret show by some thai lady boys and all we had to do was buy some drinks. It was so funny, entertaining and interesting to see how they make a living. The lady boys loved marcus and kept trying to make him pull the change out of their bra but marcus was like "don't worry you can have it...." Like I said we didn't have our camera so we gave our email to some girls hoping they will email us some photos for us to show you guys :)
Our next stop was Krabi and it is beautiful. Apart from the horrible accommodation which didn't even have a flushing toilet (you poor water down it to flush it manually) crazy so you can imagine that we didn't spend much time in our room :)
The tour started at 9am and we went to a great beach to start off for some snorkeling which was amazing. The coral wasn't that good at all but the variety of fish was amazing. We met a great South African couple straight away that we spent the whole tour with.
The day consisted of 3 more snorkeling locations, swimming in the rain :), feeding monkeys (no biting this time round) lunch on another island, exciting bumpy ride in the speed boat and going to the beach where the movie "the beach" was filmed. Great day :)
We had a cool little bbq that night at our resort which allowed us to get to know some more travelers :) met a Swedish guy called Danny who reminds me of Vin diesel, a Scottish guy called Seth, a Canadian called James and a guy from Holland called Juran. Marcus got along with them more then I did so I passed out bout 2am and Marcus come in about 5am. Fun night watching soccer, drinking thai beer and listen to music.
We are currently on our way to Chiang Mai for a 5 day trek which is meant to be amazing everyone says. Its involves sleeping in traditional Thai huts, elephant riding, river rafting and more :)
We have one more 11 hour train ride to go and they go even faster then a plane trip as you have a bunk to sleep in so its great. Hoping we get air con again :) keep your fingers crossed for us.
Hope you hear from many of you once I get back on the internet :)
Leave us a message on our message board. It's a great way to keep in contact will you all.
Missing Sydney, having a flushing toilet and people who don't blow their nose in their hand and flick it onto the ground :)
Love jess
