I loved reading back over my first entry of Croatia, writing things such as, nothing could be better, everything is perfect etc.. We are now praying for some sunshine and for the electrical storms to cease ha ha!!! Having said that though, we are still having heaps of fun! I will begin with out boat, or should I say 'The Ocean - Luxury Cruiser…' Cause that is seriously the vessel we are on! As everyone knows already, much to Tim's despair, I do like the finer things in life ha ha but was very ready to be on a very shabby, old, timber boat! We arrive at the port and are taken on board a beautiful boat, polished dark timber floorboards and cream leather interior, assuming that we get our briefing on this boat, and are then taken to our cruddy but very cute little yatch. So we sit there, getting a bit of a rundown about the whole thing, room numbers given out etc. Then we are asked to go find our rooms.. I sit there, unable to breathe Fletcher ha ha (it happens a lot) kinda too shocked to move but am jumping up and down with excitement inside!! So we run around the boat trying to locate our rooms, no not beneath the deck, still not on the lower deck and then yes we find it.. Our cute little love nest on the upper deck! We are greated with a gorgeous room, accompied with an even cuter ensuite. To say I was exstatic is an understatement!! I honestly believe Paris Hilton would be impressed with out accommodation for the next week! And our sunbaking deck behind our room, and then another on the very top of the boat, pure bliss…
Our first Island stop was Makarska. The sun was shining, not a cloud in the sky! As soon as the boat slowed, we all jumped from the very top of the boat-hurling our bods into the prestine water and swam over to a bar on the beach.. Was simply just like a Getaway scene! Later on that day, we had read about Cave Bar - a bar/club that is situated in a cave, so we thought we must check it out-how many places can you go to bar in a cave huh! So the weather turns a bit sour, ok pouring rain, wind, lightningh and thunder! But nothing can dampen our moods and we are still keen on hitting the Cave Bar! As we brave the elements, we soon get closer, we could hear the music and were pretty pumped, upon entry however we were a little surprised? There were 3 men behind the bar, 2 girls carving it up on the dance floor with some moves that hurt my eyes, and a DJ on the decks playing the most intense trance music-great for someone who is high on something, other than life!! For us however, after a few beers and shandy's, it's not the 'Summer of 69' we were in the mood for!! So we grab a drink, then another, and for some, another again… My favourite was the Swimming Pool - a heavenly mixture of coconut rum, pineapple juice, a blue spirit and some cream! At $6 per cocktail, how could we resist!
