Another city means more trains and more goodbyes. I said farewell to my Aussie friends and then I was on my way back to Germany! I met a German guy named Max on the train and we spent most of the ride swapping stories of our travels in Europe. My buddy Josh back from my days at Froyo Earth had a brother named Myles studying abroad in Munich so he hooked us up over Facebook and Myles offered to let me stay with him. I met Myles at the station and from there we caught the metro to his dorm. He's an awesome guy who's studying mechanical engineering at Cal Poly so we were chatting about school and everything else along the way (he's definitely made me consider switching to mechanical engineering instead of civil!). When we got to his place, we went right to a barbeque that some of his friends and other residents of the building were having. I spent the rest of the night eating barbequed bratwurst and steaks, drinking beer and meeting people. After the landlord came out and told us we had to go elsewhere, Myles and I moved upstairs to his communal kitchen along with his friends Magnus, Chloe and Tom. We drank and chatted until early in the morning and then finally called it a night when people had to catch the last metros home. It was a nice to have a laidback evening after the craziness that was Paris!
