(I spent the 11th on a short walk around Earls Court and resting up in my room - I was tired and decided to have a quiet day)

Today was the day that I had booked to go on a day tour out to Windsor Castle, Bath, and Stonehenge, with a lunch in the town of Lacock. I got up early to grab the tube from Earls Court to Sloane Square on the District line, then a quick walk through a few streets to Victoria Bus Station, from where the tour bus would be leaving. There were people everywhere, either waiting for tours or catching buses to take them all over the UK or across the Channel to France and beyond. There was a change of gate for our tour which caused a bit of confusion, and then it turned out that the tour company had overbooked our tour by one spot. One of the tour staff arranged to move a couple of American tourists from our bus to another tour, one that would give them more time in Bath and include a tour of the Roman Baths. It was a more expensive tour, so they were effectively getting an upgrade. They still weren't happy about it, but they begrudgingly took the upgrade.

At about 8:40am, we headed off o the first stop on our itinerary - Windsor Castle.
