Whitney & I arrived to Hoi an to be greeted by a big pile of crap! Yes literally the man showed us to our room & i jst heard him go ''Ooooo sorry, sorry'' there was a mega pile of crap right in the doorway which we found absolutly hilarious but he seemed very embarrased. It was the strangest hotel experience i have ever had i swear they were trying to kill us i blame Whitney for being American. The whole place looked like something out of some old school horror movie. We went down for coffe which tasted abit funky & then were both really ill afterward, i was having a shower & the door fell in on me, i was getting changed in the room & some random vietnamise man walked in didnt even aknowledge me there looked under the table & walked out again without saying a word??, a door bell kept ringing in our room, we awoke to find our floor flooded with water from somewhere? & everytime i plugged something in i got an electric shock!  Oh yeah & Whit had ants in her bed which they did not change even though they came in to change mine. Also the people that worked in the hotel said that i scared them & they thought i was a ghost & didnt beleave i actually existed because they said i had an identical twin but with blonde hair who had been staying in the hotel the day before creepy! (i feel so common!)

Well apart from all that i really enjoyed Hoi an the buildings were so ancient & lovely its a very pictuesque & historic city. All the shops shoes, clothes were tailor made & really cheep Ha showed us all the best ones to go to so i was a bit naughty & got a tailor made outfit for less than topshop prices. We each had our very own tailer mine was very good but she was a bit stern your supposed to pick exactly what you want style, material, pockets, buttons everything but when ever i suggested something she'd jst go 'no' so she didnt let me go too wild but surpose she knows best maybe i wouldnt make a very good fashion designer after all! & she kept taking the pee cause i had to have my pants altered like 3 times taking in the butt!

There were lots of nice western cafes & they did musli which i get very excited about :-) if i see another egg or piece of bread i think ill scream!! Its funny how they try to write things in english but never quite get the meaning right for example instead of signs saying 'good value for money' they say 'reasonable price'. And i think they try to westernise dishes so you get stuff on the menu like stir fried veg & tofu over french fries? bet they think were really weird.

 We went to the market where you got constant bother ''lady you want to buy something'', ''you very lucky lady its my happy hour'' actually i think i here these things about 100 times aday everywhere but all you have to do is be polite & laugh at them then they jst laugh along with you & go away probs because they are scared & think your totally insane or jst talk at them constantly i love to see there faces no idea! I would love to know what Michel Simpson got up too!

It was a really good time for us to be in Hoi an cause it was the nite of the moon festival when we arrived which is the celebration of the full moon they have once year & all the children get presents & mooncakes which are sold everywhere & everyone raves about them. WARNING!! they are not good they are evil yeah they look all cake like & tasty decorated in the shapes of pigs/ other animals / with flowers/ in disguise as normal cakes. But they are made with sugar mmmm, sponge mmmm & chunks of ginger & bits of carrot & mushy peas & i dont know what all mixed together i really dont get it? bad bad bad!!! The children dress up as ragons & little buddas & bang drums & go wild & dance about & gatecrash restaurants while your having dinner & get money from you but its the most fun thing in the world there is so much energy & excitment i loved it!

We also had a Vietnamise cookin lesson & cooked fish with herbs & sping rolls & squid which i think we all did really well at even if we did get told off for pinching the rum for cooking with for drinking!
