hi to everyone back home, and "Good Morning Vietnam", after some very long bus journeys of about 30hrs we're finally in hanoi (northern vietnam). what can i say about laos ? everyone says its beautiful and relaxing but we struggled here and didn't go much on it although the tubing was awesome. We headed straight to the capital Vientienne and did the usual by dumping our bags and going for a stroll and came across the best bakery in the world ..... omlet...

Since our last blog we have caught up on our history and had three lovely days in Kanchanaburi, visiting museums, sights of war memrobilia, waterfalls, national parks and a doing a Thai cooking course! Hello again...we are safely back on land and breathing through our mouths not a regulator...and are now qualified scuba divers (thanks Deb & Kev) ...roll on the Great Barrier Reef! We are safely in Bangkok and have seen some cockroaches that put the rats out here to shame...thankfully they have been on plates or in frying pans and not in our rooms! We have been away for nearly five weeks now and still our sense of direction has got no better...we spent 4-5...

Ok...we made it! We had to travel up through Malaysia, we left Singapore on 15th and only arrived on the 18th, we saw some pretty grotty sights and stayed in some even grottier places and we spent 24h on trains but Jay got to see the Petronas towers to his delight!
