Wow this has been a long trip.
I decided that I didn't need any breakfast and had a bit of a leisurely start to the day. The manager has agreed that I can have a late 1pm check out, free of charge and then they will look after my luggage in a locked room until I am ready to go.
So, I have to go back to the mall.
The mall is practically empty, you can almost see the tumbleweed blowing across the floor.
The lady in Macy's is very apologetic but welcomes a bit of company.
What a contrast!
This is my final day in the US for this trip. I always hate the day you go home because there is so much hanging about.
I decided to go straight to the airport after my mall excursion.
There was already a queue to check in, don't you just admire us Brits, we love a good queue, don't we??
I asked the man on the check in whether I had a window or an aisle. He gave me a funny look and said 'Both'
I said he would have to explain a little more. He leaned forward and said
'This is a First Class seat Madam, you have been upgraded!'.
Well whoopi-do and tra-la-la!!
I was one of the first in the Business Class lounge and bagged my favourite seat, not far from the food and the vodka.
It was a great trip home, I slept like a baby. I still think my 5ft 1in frame is probably more comfortable in a Business Class seat but am thankful for the chance to sample the high life, if only for one time.
Do you know, there is nothing like returning from a long holiday abroad to see your beautiful daughter waiting for you with a big, beaming, ear to ear smile,??
Thanks for picking me up DeeDee.xxxxxxxxxxx
