Yo.

Hopefully a longer update this time- and maybe some pics too!!

So.... after leaving Sydney, and the world of work, we went to Newcastle which was nice. The YHA was really good there, offering free food on most nights and organised stuff going on etc. Not a big town, but nice beaches and great weather! we did a walk to a lighthouse one day, and whilst sat eating lunch, we saw a dolphin in the sea! pretty cool.

We also did a wine tour to the hunter valley wineries, and tried lots of different wines and ports and liqueurs, which was really good fun. Meet some cool people too.

After that, we went to a place called Port Macquarie, which was a small town just up the coast. They had a koala hospital, and really that was the main reason for going, and it was good to look round and see all the rescued koalas. We also got some cheap fish and chips there- buy one, get one for a buck! so that made a nice change from noodles....

After 2 nights there, we moved onto a place called Bellingen- which was a tiny little town, with one pub!! chilled out there for a few nights, and spent a nice lazy day by the river, even swam in the river to cool off!

Did a rainforest tour too, which was fun and interesting. After that, it was off to Byron Bay. That was a cool place- a realy party town, lots of pubs and clubs. Its pretty much spend the day on the beach, tanning- then out drinking inthe evening. We of course, joined in on these activities a bit too!! ;- )

Byron is a cool town tho- did another lightouhse walk, and this time saw a few humpback whales- includuing a white humpback- apparently the only 1 in the world, so that was pretty amazing! saw more dolphins too, was good! very hot weather tho....

After that it was off to Surfers Paradise, which is like Byron, but bigger and brasher!! went out on the town with 2 American girls and 1 irish girl we met, and got rather drunk!! somehow ended up in the VIP section of a club, drinking champagne, courtesy of 2 Austrlaian guys we met!! a strange night!!

So now we are in Brisbane- its nice to be in a city again!! did a lot of walking around today, Brisbane has some nice areas, especially the south bank. Off to the XXXX brewerey tomo for a tour, so that should be fun!!
