Ok.... another "quickie" update!!
We are now in Airlie beach, just off a 10hr overnight bus journey, so very tired!! got in at 7am this morning, but cant get into our room til 1pm!! doh!!
so.... since Brisbane, we have been to Rainbow beach which was cool, but not a lot there!! we had a BBQ by the beach, on a free BBQ thing, which was cool- but bought budget burgers, 20 burgers for $4, so ate burgers for like 4 days in a row....
Went to Fraser Island, which was awesome!!! Such a beatuiful place, so peaceful, and all the roads are sandtracks, so only 4WD's are allowed on the island, so we were in a big 4WD bus!! it was cool, but got thrown all over the place in it!
Saw some beatiful lakes, and some great wildlife, including Dingos!!
Had some great food- and met a great group of people- the best bit was that we were thre only 2 English!! nice to meet diferent nationalities for a change! we had an Irish couple, 2 Aussies. some Germans, a South Korean, a Brazilian and some Chinese people there,. so a nice mix!!
On a very hectic shedule again now, so probably wont be any photo updates til we get to Cairns in a few weeks!
After Fraser Island we went to a place called 1770, which was a nice chilled out place, stayed in a great hostel called Southern Cross,. which had loads of land and a lake and a pool to swim in. Did our surfing lesson there, but the waves were too small, so didnt get to stand up!! Lisa ended up standing up just on her board in the shallow water, but we reckon that still counts. :- )

Then the next day we ended up doing a sunset sea kayak, with the same people who ran the surf school, that was really good too, an amazing sight, watching the sun set from a kayak!
Now we are in Airlie beach, ready for our Whitsundays sailing trip. Then its off to Magnetic Island for a few days, then into Cairns! Then we leave Oz..... feels like we have been in Australia for ever.
