Right, quick update!

After arriving in Mumbai following a 22 hour train trip, this city is fantastic. Really cosmopolitan feel to the place! A refreshing breath of fresh air (literally) following Delhi!

Not much to do tourist wise, and lingered there longer than expected - mainly due to wanting to meet up with Varsha, and tummy trouble (least said the better on that one!) The architecture of the city is one of the nice things, very british and colonial.

Had to have a few lunches in Leopolds (for those of you who are not aware of this place if you read Shantaram, which you should! is mentioned in there, and was also one of the terrible sites of the terrorist attacks in Mumbai. The place still bears the scars of the bullet holes. Strange to think that people like me were the target of the attacks.

Though a trip over to Elephanta Island was worth it for the caves and carvings!

Cost wise is pretty expensive compared to the rest of India. So ended up staying in some proper dives!
