Had a wonderful time sailing around the Whitsunday Islands. The first three days was with one group and on the second three days new people came aboard. Went to Whitehaven Beach which was spectacular - all aquamarine and shades of blue (and that was just the passengers!). Seriously, the coast line and beach were super. We took the dingy to Whitehaven which was quite rough - it is usually very calm. I thought I had timed it right to make a dainty exit out of the dingy. Instead a wave came tipped me and the boat sideways - hence my backwards somersault with half tuck!. However I did come back up complete with hat and sunnies still on and clutching a very wet beach towel. Provided great amusement. There were some awesome sun rises and sunsets. Lots of snorkelling and doing nothing but sailing - great. One nigttht on board with others captured Chris, one of the crew, tied him to the mast and threatened to shave off his moustache that he was growing. November is re-christened Movember in Oz and lots of guys are trying to grow moustaches for the prostate cancer charity. They get sponsored for their efforts. Anyway, there was little cash in the charity tin on the bar so we threatened to do the evil deed unless we got loads of money - seemed to work as we made about seventy dollars! Good fun and raised money for a good cause.
Had three days in Melbourne with Sue and Steve. Good company and will miss them.
