Today was our last day ..... 45 days gone in a flash... Today it rained and was only 18degrees so not too sad about packing up and going home. We caught the free tram and spent several hours at the Museum of Melbourne .... Interesting with a good mixture of exhibits .... Walked back via the bar for nearly our last beer in Melbourne! Packing done........... So this is my last blog ...... Looking forward to seeing all our family and friends ....... Watch out I have...

Yesterday we had a trip to Philip Island .... Very civilised .... Just four of us and a guide. Two hours drive but stopped at a farm on the way for a cream tea and also lucky to stop and see some Pelicans and a seal eating the scraps from a local fisherman.Saw some koala and wallaby .... Much more natural than the zoo park we saw previously .... Even though they were in a park they are only handled once a year for a health check.We then made our way to the beach ...

Got up at 3.30 hoping we were going on our sunrise balloon flight ..... Only to hang around for an hour and be told not safe to go because of low cloud and lack of wind

Melbourne is lovely ..... We did a whistle stop tour this morning ,great for getting our bearings along with knowledge from the guide. Stressful trying to buy genuine Ugg boots in the middle of summer but mission accomplished in the end . Melbourne has lots of contrasts of old and new and they like to preserve the old so there is a lovely mix of old buildings and new but blended very well together.... Really easy to find your way about ... The road layout is all ...

Today we flew to our final destination ....Melbourne.Feels considerably cooler than Sydney .... 24degrees , but still pleasant. We have been given a very nice bottle of fizz and some chocolates ....... Apparently we are on our honeymoon ha x think maybe our lovely holiday planner at Audley Travel arranged it.Tomorrow we are going on a city tour , then off exploring .... Probably the shops as we need another suitcase and a few more gifts x
