Still raining so we continue with our schoolwork and then head to Bli Bli where there's a wake boarding park similar to the one we tried in Mackay. But this one is much bigger and faster! The wind made the water a bit choppy but we kept trying to get around the circuit without falling off. I made it to the last corner several times but couldn't quite get around. We really enjoyed the wake boarding park.

A wet rainy day so it's a good chance to get some schoolwork done in the van. We were hoping to meet Belinda for a swim at the local surf club after school but instead we go ten pin bowling which was fun. Amazingly Fraser scored the only strike!

Our final day of surfing lessons and we have an early start towing the van to Coolum. Some bigger waves and a smaller surfboard make it exciting fun and we finish up knowing a bit more about surfing. It's a pity Ballarat isn't on the coast! We arrive in Maroochydore and set up before a visit to the shopping centre along the river.

Our second day of surfing lessons and today we venture out to some bigger waves. Hard work getting back out each time but we are rewarded with some good rides and lots of fun. Afterwards we enjoyed some treats at a french patisserie and head back to Tewantin to pack up camp.

Today we drove to Coolum Beach for the first of three 2-hour surfing lessons. The instructor Steve was great and we soon were able to ride a few gentle waves into the beach. After the lesson we enjoyed some body surfing in the waves with Belinda (a local who also had surfing lessons). We returned to Tewantin along the coastal road through Noosa Heads.
