Rain is forecast for later in the day so we headed off early to Pemberton and climbed up the Gloucester Tree, an old fire lookout now in a National Park. The climb was fun and we had a great view from the top, about 60 metres above the ground. We then went on a train ride from Pemberton to the Warren River bridge and back. The tour guide was very imformative. We then visited a swing bridge at Beedelup Falls and some more tall Karri trees on the way back to Man...

After a final visit to Mrs Jones for a coffee we left Denmark and headed to Walpole and into the forest to a place called Swarbrick where some mirrors and interactive artwork has been put in the forest. We enjoyed the walk and the artwork. Soon after that we entered a burnt forest with some bits still smoking from recent fires. It was black for many kilometres and most side roads through forest were closed. We had lunch at Shannon and then headed onto Manjimu...

This morning we used the last of the pipis we collected at Coffin Bay and Dad caught another couple of nice whiting. He enjoyed fish for both lunch and tea. We had a final drive around Denmark which included a visit to the bakery (yum) and a look at some of the new houses. Fraser and I enjoyed games of mini golf, tennis and basketball when we got back to the caravan park.

A change in the weather thanks to the arrival of what's left of cyclone Olwyn - it's a cloudy rainy day in most of WA but not too bad here. We sheltered at Mrs Jones and bought some treats from the local bakery. Fraser then had a haircut. We watched a DVD (Johnny English) after lunch - thanks Keisha - and then went fishing with some of our frozen pipis from Coffin Bay. They still work with Mum catching a crab, I caught some whiting and Dad some small bream. ...

Today we drove to Walpole, visiting a fudge factory on the way. We enjoyed the Tree Top Walk in the Valley of the Giants near Walpole. The trees here are red and yellow tingle trees which grow to about 70 metres tall and can have a circumference of over 20 metres at the base. At the top of the walk we were about 40 metres above the ground. We had a snorkel at Greens Pool on the way back to caravan park.
