After some early washing and a few jobs we headed into Fremantle and went to the Maritime Museum of WA.  There were many boats on display including Australia II which won the America’s Cup in 1983.  Unfortunately the Batavia replica is stored nearby but unavailable for public display until June.

Quokkas everywhere! We caught a ferry to Rottnest Island for the day, and rather than hire bikes (and helmets - yuck) we caught the hop on - hop off shuttle bus around the island, We did a couple of laps of the island and enjoyed the scenery and of course quokkas at every stop. Another move to Woodman Point south of Fremantle. The caravan park was very busy although we have a "quiet" site in amongst some permanent cabins. After lunch we went into Fremantle which was very busy with lots of free street performances as part of their Easter festival. Today we drove into Perth for a look around the city shops where it seemed to be all about Dad! Lunch in Kings Park (next to a restaurant called Fraser's)overlooking the city was very relaxing as were the walks around the park. Fraser and I had fun competing in races around tress where Mum asked us to do combinations of running, racewalking and cartwheels. Good Friday and we started the day with toasted hot cross buns and far too much butter - especially Dad. With the start of school holidays and the Easter Long Weekend in WA had to move to a caravan park near Perth airport for a couple of nights.
